The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance and operational management of an AIRR retail store. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service, drives sales and profitability, manages inventory and supply chain processes and fosters a positive team culture aligned with AIRR’s values and strategic goals. The Branch Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the local rural community by providing quality products, expert advice and reliable service.
Responsibilities
As a branch leader you will enjoy a day including:
- Deliver exceptional, personalised service tailored to rural and agricultural customers, while building strong community relationships and responding to seasonal and regional needs.
- Drive sales growth through effective merchandising and customer strategies, while identifying local business opportunities and ensuring sales metrics are met.
- Maintain high standards of in-store presentation aligned with AIRR/Elders brand guidelines, including signage and promotional displays.
- Oversee inventory management, ensure accurate stock levels, and implement effective stock control procedures including seasonal planning and staff training.
- Align stock levels and promotions with agricultural cycles (e.g. planting, harvesting), and monitor product turnover to meet local demand.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, store operations and ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and risk management standards.
- Foster a high-performing team culture by leading with One Elders Values, providing staff development, and ensuring accountability and engagement.
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with WHS policies and driving continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
About you

- Related tertiary qualifications (Business, Agriculture, or Retail Management)
- Proven experience in retail or agricultural store management
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Sound financial and operational management capabilities
- Knowledge of rural and agricultural products and services
- Proficiency in inventory systems and point-of-sale technology
- Commitment to safety and compliance
- Unencumbered driver’s licence
- Forklift licence
